From Etsy to Leathercraft: How The Owlchemy Nest Was Born

It all started with a single 3D printer in a corner of our home — quietly humming while we chased the idea that something handmade could still matter in a mass-produced world.                                           

                                     

                                                                             

Our Etsy shop, originally known as Extruded Expressions, launched with fun and functional 3D printed home decor, novelty signs, and personalized gifts. Over the years, we fulfilled thousands of orders, reaching over 3,000 sales and earning the trust of customers looking for something unique.

         

But behind the scenes, our creative journey was shifting.

We found ourselves pulled toward something slower, more intentional, and rooted in tradition: leathercraft. What began as a personal challenge — designing a single handmade wallet — soon became a full-blown passion. The textures, the tools, the storytelling... leather gave us a whole new way to bring ideas to life.

Today, we’re proud to introduce The Owlchemy Nest — a handcrafted brand that reflects our roots while soaring toward new goals. From minimalist wallets like The Owlchemest, to rustic notebook covers like The Ember Lorebinder, each piece is designed and made in our small, veteran-owned home studio.
